With more than a decade servicing the IT industry, Jit -Foong Chan infuses a
wealth of skills and knowledge as the Chief Operating Officer in ATN. Also the acting
Technical Director of the company, Mr. Chan plays a major supporting role for the Chairman
and is the key player behind the technology transfer into and development of
Asiatravelmart.com.
Mr. Chan’s previous technical involvement was in the areas of
Data Warehousing, Internet development, Client/Server development and RDBMS.
Prior to ATN, Mr. Chan was the Malaysia Practice Manager for Sybase
Inc., one of the leading software companies in the world, where he was responsible for
securing and managing software development projects for industries such as financial,
banking and insurance as well as telecommunications. Mr. Chan was also the architect
behind Sybase Malaysia’s training/education business that ultimately flourished and
even recorded an enviable growth during the recent regional slowdown.
Mr. Chan has experiences in setting up and managing a systems
integration company in Kuala Lumpur before joining Sybase. Mr. Chan has worked for other
international multinational organizations including ICL Computers and Matsushita
Corporation.
Mr. Chan is a computer science graduate from the University of
Minnesota, United States.
